Child Care Enrollment
Lab school waiting lists are comprised of children of students and staff of the NSCC Akerley, Leeds Street, and New Dartmouth Waterfront campus as well as members of the general community.
Spaces are given based on availability and centre criteria. Please note that, we do give priority to students and staff of these community college. Unfortunately, we do have limited enrollment and cannot guarantee spaces. If you require subsidized childcare, it is the responsibility of the parent(s) to apply for a portable subsidy space with the Nova Scotia Department of Community Service.
If you would like to join our waiting list, please complete the attached form and return it to us at the appropriate child care centre. Your child will be placed on the waiting list according to the date that the information is received. Please ensure that all contact information is kept current!!
If and when we are able to accommodate your family, we will contact you with the offer of a space. Please note that we only receive one-month’s notice prior to a families’ withdrawal. Therefore, the only time that we would be able to tell you if there will be availability is one month prior to your needing care.
